This first edition
published
in German in1925 by Robert Lutz, Stuttgart. This 316 page hard
bound
book with light tan boards, dark maroon spine and dark maroon
oval on
the front with gold lettering. Spine is highly decorated in
gold filigree with a blue title label near the top and a orange
red
label
stating "Memorial Edition" near the bottom. This
copy, given to
Forbes by Dr. Seif at Harvard in the summer of 1929, introduced
Forbes to Carl Herman Unthan "The Armless Fiddler". |

Forbes. Forbes later wrote the preface
for the 1935 English edition, "The Armless Fiddler:
